Last night, President Obama spoke at the HRC dinner. President Obama told the 3,000 dinner guests that “we cannot afford to discharge people from our ranks with critical skills”. Mr Obama acknowledged that while there were critics in the crowd who did not believe he has done enough to address the issues facing the gay community, but said, “Do not doubt the direction we are headed and the destination we will reach.”
