Bruce Weber, Male Models and YSL Short Film Airs Worldwide Friday January 22nd!



Famed American photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber has been commissioned by Yves Saint Laurent’s Creative Director Stefano Pilati to shoot and direct a short film that will make its worldwide debut at the presentation of the YSL Collection Homme Fall Winter 2010-2011  TOMORROW!    Friday, January 22nd, 2010 in Paris.

 


It will be screened before Pilati’s Yves Saint Laurent men’s wear show. Titled “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing,” the seven-minute film features a band of models, including up-and-coming face Paolo Anchisi, ( son of eighties  and nineties fashion model Lynn Koester ) and exclusive to YSL.


A trailer with behind-the-scenes views of the Weber film is slated to make its debut on Facebook and YouTube when the show starts. Video of the fashion show, and Weber’s film, will go on those sites, plus ysl.com, a few hours later.




Bruce Weber  is an iconic American fashion photographer and occasional filmmaker. He is most widely known for his ad campaigns for Calvin Klein, Pirelli, Abercrombie & Fitch, Revlon, Gianni Versace, and Ralph Lauren, as well as his work for Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Elle, Life, Interview, and Rolling Stone magazines. His romantic and innocent  black and whites of beautiful boys are world famous and highly collectible.
