Worldwide MR GAY Crowned - But Charl Van Den Burg Has a Porn Past...

NEWSFLASH!

I  had read this morning that the winner of this past weekend's  WORLDWIDE MR GAY contest was CHARL VAN DEN BURG from South Africa.

Then just a few hours ago, I was  at  PrideBook, and one of their editors mentioned a piece of little known dirt;  Late last year, when Charl Van Den Burg won the title of “Mr. Gay South Africa,” there was a rumour that he had been featured in a porn film.  Shortly after he was crowned, he gave an interview to theSouth African Times Live news media.

In December 2009, The SA TIMES  LIVE  said that "An explicit video of Charl van den Berg, the 27-year-old manager of Cape Town's Cafe Manhattan, is available online on a subscriptions-only gay porn website.

On the site, he goes under the name of "Chad, a 23-year-old Afrikaans guy" who "strips down in a warehouse ... just for you!"

Hmmmmmm. Worldwide Mr Gay  says they are  a competition that "does not support any activities in connection with the porn industry".

Worldwide Mr Gay producer Tore Aasheim said: "Sometimes, within the gay scene there are opportunists who identify these men and promise them a better life and freedom within the adult entertainment industry, in which exploitation may result.

"Our organisation embraces those men that have found the courage to escape the exploitation in an effort to find a better life."

So I guess since it was in his past, that's  OK. And they won't  de-thrown him?

So what? Most gays watch porn, it's part of the lifestyle. And to rise above it, is great. Kudos to Charl!

Kudos to Charls for sure!  I have no problem with gay porn or  escorts for that matter.  The point of the article was that the organization said that THEY did not want to be connected with the adult industry in any way, shape of form. That's a silly remark to mark, in my opinion. It's part of our culture.
