Luster Premium White At Home Teeth Whitening System
THIS IS NOT A PAID AD -

I have been whitening my teeth on and off for about 8 years. I use the tray system. Which cost me about $200 originally. And I like the Opalescence 15% gel for maintenance. That's about as strong as I can handle. And even that strength, makes my gums and teeth a little sensitive for the day that follows a treatment. But I use it 3-4 times a year, to keep my teeth bright.
So this month, it was about time for me to give my teeth a booster. And I saw an ad for the LUSTER 1 HOUR WHITE at home treatment kit. So I called the company and they offered me a kit to try in exchange for an honest opinion editorial.
My partner and I both tried the one-hour whitening system. I drink moderate coffee and he drinks a lot of coffee and smokes.
We both saw results and mine were a little more dramatic than his. It's a little involved. You rinse first for about 10 seconds with their Accelerator Mouth Rinse. Then brush on the Activating Whitening Gel and let that dry for about 20 seconds. Then you use this hand-held Activating Whitening light for 2 minutes. For the absolute best results you do this 20 times. Rinse, apply, light, repeat. Hence the 1 hour selling point. We both saw results after about 5-7 applications and both stopped at 10 applications. But I think perhaps for the average person who maybe does not whiten their teeth regularly, you would need the full 20 applications.
It's easy to use. Perhaps a little boring! But what can you do? Would you rather use the tray method for 2 hours a day, for several days? Or get it over with an hour?
So how does it work? It’s a similar system to what dentists use for in-office treatments. The patented Gel contains whitening ingredients, while the Accelerator Rinse and Whitening Light accelerate the process. Dentovations was the first company to develop an at-home, light-activated whitening system. Luster 1-Hour White is the first and only OTC whitening product to be FDA cleared. And it has zero tooth sensitivity. Some believe that the UV light some dentists use is not safe. The light in the kit is totally safe and FDA approved.
One of the reviews online said, "After two minutes I inspected my teeth.... there were WHITE SPOTS all over my front teeth!" - I noticed little white spots as well - but it was nothing. After I rinsed and did my next treatment, they were gone. So don't panic!
The cost? Affordable. $40. You can buy it everywhere; Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Meijer, Winn Dixie, Dunane Reed and ONLINE. And there is a $5 coupon online as well. The light that you get is reusable. Then a refill kit of the mouth wash and gel is $20, when you aready for a booster.
If you really do not want to spend $40 you can get the "Weekend Kit" for $20. Which is the same system, but no light. Hence, you can't get results in one hour, but you can see results over 3-day the weekend.
Laser whitening in my area is anywheres between $300-$500. And trays with gels can run from $125-$200. So $40 is a very good deal. I don't think it's possible to see the exact same results as a $500 laser treatment - but for $40, YOU DO SEE RESULTS.
Understand this - The blinding-white smiles you see on many Hollywood stars are often veneers. The best tooth whitening results you will see with ANY safe whitening procedure will be as white as your natural tooth shade. Don't expect to have Hollywood white teeth. But your teeth will be whiter than they are now.
