Was Marie Osmonds Son Michael Blosil Gay?

More quotes are surfacing from Marie Osmond's emotional Oprah Winfrey interview about the suicide death of her son, Michael.
On the show, Osmond, 51, denies speculation that her son was gay and took his life this past February because his sexuality conflicted with his Mormon upbringing.
"My son was not gay," she said. "He wanted to be married and have a family and travel all over the world. And it wouldn't matter if he was -- I have a daughter who's gay.
"She was the most offended by [the rumors]," she said, adding that her daughter felt they implied that "everyone who's gay commits suicide."
Osmond also denied that her son -- who entered a rehab at age 17 -- was under the influence when he took his life.
"My son was clean when he jumped," she said of the teen, who was a student at L.A.'s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. "There were no drugs in his system, but I believe the ramifications were there."
He was just lost, she said.
During her 2007 stint on Dancing With the Stars, he tried to commit suicide.
"He promised he would never do anything like that again and I believed him," she said. "Whatever his reality was, I do believe that there are moments when you slip into insanity and you no longer think rationally. I believe that's what happened."
SO WHY DID HE KILL HIMSELF? Isn't it possible Marie, that MAYBE he was GAY??? Why is it so hard to admit that possibility?Outspoken stand-up comedian and gay rights activist Roseanne Barr insinuated that the suicide of Marie Osmond’s son, Michael Blosil, had less to do with his innate depression than with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ archaic stance on homosexuality. Roseanne really shakes it up on her blog this week!:
"because he had been told how wrong and how sick he was every day of his life by his church and the people in it. Calling that "depression" is a lie!
Yet the Osmonds still talk lovingly about their church, saying nothing about its extremely anti-gay Crusade. Marie also has a gay daughter! Hey, I want her and all the gay kids in the world to know that they are just fine being gay and that they deserve love and respect instead of insults and rebuke! I have gay people in my family and my circle of friends and I am kicking bigot ass and taking names!"
"How sickening. I know so many mormon kids who were gay and committed suicide, and I just cannot and will not stay quiet in order to not offend bigots anymore. It is all so terribly depressing."
Last year, Marie Osmond confirmed that her oldest daughter Jessica is a lesbian — calling her a "magnificent woman" and stating that she supports her daughter and believes in equal rights for gays and lesbians under the law.
Osmond’s public support of her daughter is significant, because Osmond is the highest profile Mormon thus far to come out in support of marriage equality — or at least giving gay and lesbian couples the same rights afforded to heterosexual couples.
"When it comes to marriage, you know, I think that civil rights need to be for all:"
You know, I think each of us has the right to choose who makes that medical decision for us, I think everybody should have the right to share homes and finances with somebody that they care about. You know on those types of things I'm very supportive. When it comes to marriage ... I think that civil rights need to be for all. When you start mixing religion into that and beliefs, you know, I do believe in the Bible. My daughter understands my beliefs. And, and, uh, you know, God said to be married and be productive with your children and, and, you know, replenish the earth or whatever. She understands those things. My daughter is sharp. And we have a great relationship and I think she would tell you that."
DONNIE OSMOND however, DOES NOT feel the same...
"My beliefs about marriage is beautifully stated in The Family — A Proclamation To The World, a document published by the leaders of our church back in 1995. I am going to include it here."
We, the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, solemnly proclaim that marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children.
