New Gay Web Series IN BETWEEN MEN

In Between Men
is a sexy, new dramedy  (on the web) about All- American guys who feel caught between two worlds, not truly knowing where they fit in.

In Between Men follows four friends in NYC who live "in between" a gay world, whose clichés they don't relate to, and a straight world they don't belong to.

They are successful, professional men not defined by their sexuality. Through wild adventures, racy storylines, joys and pains, underscored by the pulse of New York City, In Between Men examines the relationships the men have between each other, their lovers, and the greater community.

In Between Men is a  new web series, supported by Marc Jacobs, that, according to its publicist "is about masculine, gay men who feel caught between two worlds. Obviously, they are not straight, nor do they identify with the behaviors of mainstream gay social scene for the most part, so they live somewhere in between."

Just as Lisa Cholodenko's The Kids Are Alright brilliantly depicts a lesbian married couple with two kids as de facto in mainstream community consciousness, giving gay and straight people a different look at variations on gay living, In Between Men can offer a representation of gay life that gives gay athletes a basis of identification and hope and straight athletes a basis knowledge and permission to accept them.

I'm sending you this email to suggest a story and/or interview on Tucky Williams, the creator, writer and lead actress of the overnight sensation online lesbian-themed TV drama series dubbed "Girl/Girl Scene".

Thought it'd be an interesting editorial profile for your readers to learn more about the creator behind the show.
Tucky's uniqueness is not that she's creating her own show online nor that she is providing original LGBT content going the way of the internet- after all so many other artists are successfully doing the same - but that she is pursuing her efforts of producing LGBT related material in Middle America - meaning guerrilla style in the middle of practically nowhere!

Not your typical web-television show, Girl/Girl Scene is first and foremost a TV series on the web - more than a web-series in the traditional sense of the word.

Since its online world premiere in June 2010, the 45-minute episodes have become the talk of cyberspace, instantly developing a following that has taken a life of its own. Shot guerilla style on a zero budget with no studio/TV network backing, and having garnered, not only a huge legion of fans, but as well as a partial endorsement from the State of Kentucky with a grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women, “Girl/Girl Scene” is an astute raw and honest look at contemporary LGBT culture shedding light in an unapologetic, brutally realistic, and provocative way on what it means not only to be a lesbian but a lesbian in middle America.

Dropping at sporadic monthly intervals, each Girl/Girl Scene episode air for free on blip.tv network (enjoying advertising sponsorships of corporate giants in the likes of T-Mobile, GM and Nintendo), streaming on blip.tv (www.girlgirlscene.blip.tv), on GGS’ official website (www.girlgirlscene.com) and Williams’ own personal cyberspace address (www.TuckyWilliams.com).
Both Williams and the show are already recipient of a hatful of awards and special recognitions; she snagged a World Independent Film Expo award for “Best Screenplay” (for the pilot episode) and an Indie InterTube’s NSFW Show title.

With an online series running 40-45 minutes an episode and only five episodes out into Season I, Tucky Williams has cyberspace wrapped around her fingers!

    ABOUT TUCKY WILLIAMS:

Certifiably Kentucky’s biggest breakout success story, Tucky Williams, a fourth-generation Lexingtonian, attended the University of Kentucky at the tender age of fifteen (emulating her idol, Sharon Stone), where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Journalism and a concentration in imaginative writing. She studied writing under the tutelage of acclaimed Kentucky Poet Laureate/writer James Baker Hall. She also earned a BS in Earth Sciences from Mississippi State University and went on to be an
