Million Dollar Listing Star Josh Flagg Comes Out of the Closet

Josh Flagg ,
who stars on BRAVO TV’s
Million Dollar Listing,
has certainly made his own since joining the cast in Season 2 (2008).

If you’re not familiar with the show, Million Dollar Listing follows the lives of three of Los Angeles' hottest, young, and aggressive real estate magnates in the making as they increase their fortunes selling multi-million dollar properties in the most exclusive neighborhoods –- Hollywood, Malibu and Beverly Hills.

Madison Hildebrand  was the first to come out of the closet. Next up - Josh Flagg somes out!

In 2008 it became common knowledge that was Josh was gay  -  but it was never discussed on the show. Even though we saw Josh with a couple of his male buddies...nothing was spoken. Until now. (Hello? Josh threw the most creative open houses! Wasn't that a clue?!)

This season,  Chad Rogers (whom everyone thought was gay) from seasons 1, 2, and 3,  is off the show  and IN  is Josh Altman, a real estate impresario who you might recognize from his appearance on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”.  Madison says, "It's much better with Chad gone. And I think the world is a safer place because there’s less hairspray too."

Season 4 (2011) follows  Josh and the other agents as they deal with some of the most demanding clients they have ever encountered. They are pushed to the limit and struggle to manage their personal lives while also trying to move some of the most magnificent and most expensive homes in the City of Angels.

In the new book by Josh Flagg , Million Dollar Agent: Brokering the Dream ,” Josh shares with readers his unique childhood, his lavish and over the top lifestyle, his “coming out” and partner Colton, (he has been in a long term relationship with Colton Thorn, An interior Designer)  as well the inspirations and experiences that made him the passionate and incredibly informed real estate agent we love to watch.  It was after finishing his first book (A Simple Girl: Stories My Grandmother Told Me) about his famous grandmother, Edith Flagg (the woman who brought polyester to the United States), that Flagg decided to pen his own memoirs and write an inspirational how-to book for making it in the dog-eat-dog world of real estate.

Josh Flagg began working in high-end residential real estate immediately after graduating from Beverly Hills High School in 2004. Within the first four years of his career, Flagg participated in several record sales, including the highest sale in the history of Brentwood Park and the highest sales on the exclusive Roxbury, Foothill and Monovale Drives, making him one of Los Angeles' hottest agents.

Bravo is also looking to expand the show beyond California

Million Dollar LIsting NY  will be more of a  Bravo Housewives series due to all the drama.

The characters in the New York version  include Fredrik Eklund, a Swedish, gay ex-porn star turned Manhattan real estate hottie, and his business partner John Gomes. Also included will be Caroline Grane, described as a as “pretty and personable” Swedish bombshell, with the fourth cast member being Michael Lorber, a soft-spoken, smart, eligible bachelor on the show.

Sources familiar with plans for the series, say it appears to follow the "Houswives" formula -- strong, contrasting personalities who travel in the same circle but each with their own story and who clash whenever things threaten to get too boring.  Scheduled for a late summer/ fall release.

Back to Frederik Eklund....Eklund entered a career in gay pornographic film under the pseudonym Tag Eriksson (or Tag Ericsson). He starred in the porn comedy movie The Hole (2003), and for this role won a GayVN award for "Best Solo Scene." He appeared in six additional gay adult movies  with Jet Set Productions.

Eklund became Managing Director at the New York City real estate firm CORE Group Marketing. CORE is featured on the HGTV   prim and posh "Selling New York."
tv show.

Several sources say that Eklund jumped real estate firms when HGTV refused to let the ex-porn star appear on "Selling New York."  So in  2010, he became  Managing Director at Prudential Douglas Elliman.
