Sean Hayes Returns to NBC...Gay Again

Sean Hayes will make his big return to television with an NBC comedy series about fatherhood. GAY Fatherhood!

The former "Will & Grace" star will be working with "Rescue Me" co-creator Peter Tolan on the series, which is still in the development stage, but will follow two gay men raising a 12-year-old, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Earlier in the month, Hayes Tweeted a message to his followers about developing the project.

"Yes. I'm very excited to report that I'm working with @nbc to develop a sitcom that I will star in next year," Hayes wrote on his official Twitter page on Monday. "More to come! Stay tuned!"

Hayes has stepped behind the cameras recently, producing series like NBC's upcoming fall show "Grimm" and TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland." He also starred opposite Kristin Chenoweth in "Promises, Promises" on Broadway in 2010, playing straight.
