"And the pig, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you."
Dan Cathy's hypocrisy is interesting--because the Bible says not to eat pork yet Chick Fil A serves bacon and sausage for breakfast.
I wonder how Cathy decides which passages in the Bible to support. The Bible also supports slavery including selling our daughter into slavery etc etc but everyone seems to ignore that. It's funny how people will twist the bible to their own choosing....
A better contrast would be the Biblical prohibition of eating blood and the New Testament on divorce.
The New Testament is clear that eating pork is not forbidden to gentile Christians. But eating blood is in the same small group of prohibitions with homosexual sex that were still prohibited for gentiles and Jews.
Chick-Fil-A does not advocate against either. You hardly hear a peep from Christian groups like FRC only about the
death penalty for gays.
